This document constitutes a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "You") and GreenEars Audio LLC ("GreenEars", "we", "us", "our"), a Utah limited liability company, governing refunds for our products.
1. BETA PERIOD (CURRENT STATE)
1.1 GreenEars plugins are currently offered free of charge as beta software. Because no purchase is made, no refund is applicable. You may uninstall and stop using the plugins at any time.
2. PAID PRODUCTS (FORWARD-LOOKING)
2.1 MERCHANT OF RECORD.
Paid GreenEars products are sold through the Moonbase storefront. Moonbase is the merchant of record and processes refunds; GreenEars sets this Refund Policy. Refunds are also subject to the Moonbase Buyer Terms.
2.2 PRE-DOWNLOAD / PRE-ACTIVATION.
If you have not yet downloaded the installer and have not yet activated the license, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase. This applies to all paid products.
2.3 POST-DOWNLOAD / POST-ACTIVATION.
Once you have downloaded the installer and/or activated the license, the product is generally non-refundable because digital software cannot be "returned" in the same way as a physical good. Exceptions:
(a) DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. If the product will not install, will not load in a supported host, or crashes consistently on a supported environment (operating system, plugin format, and DAW listed as "supported" for the product), contact techsupport@greenearsaudio.com for troubleshooting first. If technical support is unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable time, you are entitled to a refund or a replacement at your option by contacting support@greenearsaudio.com.
(b) EU CONSUMER 14-DAY COOLING-OFF. If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal under Articles 9-16 of Directive 2011/83/EU (the Consumer Rights Directive). HOWEVER, under Article 16(m) of that Directive, this right does not apply to the supply of digital content not on a tangible medium where performance has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgment that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal. When you confirm at checkout that you want immediate access to the download and activation, you are giving that consent and acknowledgment. If you did not give that consent or performance has not begun, you may withdraw within 14 days of purchase by emailing support@greenearsaudio.com. Similar consumer rights in the UK and other jurisdictions are honored as required by local law.
(c) GOODWILL. We may grant goodwill refunds at our sole discretion (for example, accidental double-purchases, gifts you later realize the recipient already owned, hardship cases). These are not a right.
3. SALES TAX REFUNDS
3.1 Per Moonbase's policy, sales tax may be refunded within 60 days of purchase if you provide valid tax-exemption registration documentation. Tax refunds are processed by Moonbase.
4. NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS
4.1 The following are not refundable except as required by law:
- vouchers, gift codes, and promotional credits once issued or redeemed;
- redeemed gifts;
- custom services or work delivered specifically for you (for example, custom-tuned presets created on request);
- any product purchased with a clear "no refunds" notice that you accepted at checkout.
5. CHARGEBACKS
5.1 Please contact support@greenearsaudio.com BEFORE initiating a chargeback. Chargebacks issued without first attempting to resolve through account support are disfavored and may result in suspension or termination of your account and licenses. If a chargeback is later reversed in our favor, your license may be revoked.
6. HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND
6.1 Email support@greenearsaudio.com from the email address associated with your purchase. Include:
- your Moonbase order number;
- the product name and license;
- a brief description of the reason for refund;
- for defective-product claims: your operating system, DAW, plugin format, and a description of the issue with any logs or screenshots you can share, and any correspondence with techsupport@greenearsaudio.com about troubleshooting the defect.
6.2 We will acknowledge within a few business days. Approved refunds are processed by Moonbase and typically appear in 5-10 business days, subject to your bank or payment provider.
